Matthew Butler started in the Estate Agency industry at the tender age of 16, working for a Corporate Company based in Wickford, Essex.
Matthews passion and enthusiasm for “all things property” led him to being very quickly noticed by his Manager, with who he shared his passion. From the ages of 18 – 23, Matthew won Negotiator of the Year, each year, earning him a reputation of being one of the best Negotiators throughout the whole company.
In 2005, Martin Gibbon, Director of Balgores Property Group and said previous Manager enticed Matthew to work with him in his up and coming Company.
Matthew has never looked back!
Upon joining as a Manager, he was based at the Romford Office. A brand new venture for Balgores and Martin and Matt both knew that they would have their hands full with a start up in an area with a wealth of competition. The office boomed! It took until 2010 for Matthew to make Balgores the number one agent in Romford!
Matthew then moved to the Hornchurch Office. The Flagship office for Balgores Property Group, had historically performed well, but under Matthews management, the office hit amazing heights, becoming the number one office in the area within 8 months and still remains so. Whilst managing the Hornchurch Branch, Matthew became Area Director of both Hornchurch and Romford and in 2015 was asked to oversee the Upminster Office, earning him the title of Area Director for Havering.
In 2016 Matthew was given responsibility of two further offices, one in Chelmsford and one in South Woodham. Those offices have flourished under his management.
Then it was back to doing what he does best, opening new offices! Dagenham was next on the list in 2019, with Matthew making the office the number one High Street agent within the first trading year.
Matthew was rewarded with a further office, in Basildon in October 2019 which has also improved considerably under his guidance.
During his time with Balgores Matthew has shared his passion for the industry and trained some of our top performing managers, including Billy Gill, who started with us in Hornchurch at the age of 19 with no experience and is now our most successful Branch Manager. He also trained the Management and Staff at Romford, Upminster, Chelmsford, Basildon, South Woodham, Dagenham, Loughton.
In the last six months, Matthew has gained the title of Sales Director for Balgores. An achievement that he is extremely proud of, especially due to the fact that he has managed to achieve all of this before his landmark 40th birthday.
