With 18 years’ experience, Guy Gittins is one of the property industry’s highfliers. He made his name both within the industry and beyond after working for Savills as one of only four people selected to sell apartments in one of the most expensive and exclusive Candy & Candy developments in the world, One Hyde Park.
In 2012, he then joined Chestertons, one of London’s largest estate agents with 34 branches, as sales director of the Chelsea office. After strengthening the sales department and increasing the branch revenue by 300% in his first year, he was promoted to company sales director in 2015 and then to head of residential sales in 2016, during which he saw an uplift of group sales revenue of 20%, despite very challenging market conditions.
Coming as no surprise to those who know him, in 2018, Guy was promoted to the top job in the UK, Managing Director of Chestertons, just seven years after joining the company.
In just twelve months, Guy has made some significant changes to the company, including becoming the first major estate agency group to replace its entire fleet of company cars with electric vehicles that produce no emissions. He has also invested in tech to improve the company’s internal processes.
Under Guy’s guidance, the company has gone from strength to strength and in September 2019, Chestertons reported a record month for revenues as well as its best ever Q3 results.
